Refund policy for sale items
All products sold by Saddle Rentals UK are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For policies relating to rental contracts please see the example Saddle Rental agreement here.
If you have bought a saddle or other equestrian equipment and have found that it doesn't meet your requirements, please contact us by doing one of the following:

Return policy for sale items
You (the consumer) have the right to return any product sold by Saddle Rentals UK for any reason. The right to return period ends 14 days after the day on which the goods come into the physical possession of— (a) the consumer, or (b) a person, other than the carrier, identified by the consumer to take possession of them.
The returned product must be in exactly the same condition as it was provided, unused and undamaged. It is your responsibility to ensure that the returned item is packaged correctly to ensure safe delivery (ideally in the same packaging it was sent). It is your responsibility to insure the returned item for the full sale value during shipment against damage or loss. Saddle Rentals UK can arrange return shipment and insurance for your returned item for a £25 which will be agreed before the return is initiated.
Saddle Rentals UK will pay the costs of return:
(a) if the products are faulty or incorrectly described.
(b) if you are ending the contract because we have made an error in pricing or description, a delay in delivery due to events outside our control or because you have a legal right to do so as a result of something we have done wrong.
In all other circumstances (including where you are a consumer exercising your right to change your mind) you must pay the costs of return.
Upon receipt of your returned item a quality check will be carried out by Saddle Rentals UK to determine condition. You will be notified of the outcome of this check if there are questions relating to use or damage which may result in a deduction to the refund.
If a returned product has evidence of damage caused during shipping you will be responsible for placing an insurance claim with your chosen courier prior to any refund being processed. If Saddle Rentals UK have arranged the return courier at your request it will be the responsibility of Saddle Rentals UK to initiate any claims against the shipping company.
Provided the item has been returned to Saddle Rentals UK in an unused and undamaged condition Saddle Rentals UK will refund your purchase price in full less any previously agreed return shipping charges. Your refund will be made to the original purchase method and will occur as soon as possible and not more than 14 days after receipt of the returned product.
All your statutory consumer rights apply.
Option to test/trial sold items
The return policy above relates to products being unused and we realise that when determining if a saddle is suitable you may actually have to use it. Therefore every saddle comes with a 5 day trial period to allow it to be trialled. If the saddle is not suitable please contact us before the end of the 5 day trial period and we will arrange for a courier to collect it. Once we receive the saddle back in the same condition, Saddle Rentals UK will refund your purchase price in full less a £15 administration fee and £25 return shipping charges.
Trial of new saddles
The 5 day trial period also applies to new saddles however, use must be limited to ensure the saddle remains in a new condition. All labels and tags must remain on the saddle or be refixed to the saddle after trial. All care should be taken to ensure stirrup leathers do not mark the flaps. Any observable wear on the saddle will result in a reduction of your refund to reflect the new selling price as an ex-demo saddle.
Warranty of new saddles
All new saddles are sold with a manufacturer’s warranty, the terms of which vary between manufacturers. It is your responsibility to register your saddle with the manufacturer to enforce your warranty. Saddle Rentals UK accepts no responsibility for faulty saddles where you have not registered with the manufacturer.
Right to cancel prior to shipping
For sold items that have not yet shipped you have the right to cancel your order by notifying Saddle Rentals UK by email or telephone. Upon acceptance Saddle Rentals UK will ensure to refund all payments made no later than 14 days after the date contract of sale was cancelled.
